About Susan Taah
Founder, WORK | FACTOR

Industrial workers are athletes. They just don't get treated like it.
As a Certified Athletic Trainer who moved into industrial safety and occupational health, I've spent my career bridging the gap between how we support elite athletes and how we support workers in physically demanding jobs. The principles are the same—injury prevention, performance optimization, recovery strategies, evidence-based programming—but the industrial world has been slow to adopt them and the cost of adopting these principles can be costly for small to mid-size businesses.
WORK | FACTOR exists to change that.
I have had the honor and privilege of working all around the United States in multiple industrial disciplines from construction to warehousing. During, I have helped large companies deploy record breaking initiatives, I've designed award-winning programs for local outfits and spoken on national stages. I got into this field because I kept seeing the same pattern: companies investing millions in equipment and processes, but treating their workforce as an afterthought. Workers getting hurt because nobody designed the work to fit human capabilities. People showing up in pain, working through injuries, and retiring broken because there was no system to support them.
But I kept running into the same problem: The companies that needed these solutions most—small to midsize industrial operations—couldn't afford a full-time person with this expertise.
Then I launched WORK | FACTOR to bring all of it—athletic training principles, safety engineering, occupational health expertise, and proven industrial experience—to companies that need it most. That's the vision behind WORK | FACTOR. A world where every worker is supported by preventative programming, relevant resources, and high-quality healthcare. Where physically demanding work doesn't mean accepting injuries as inevitable. Where small and midsize companies can access the same level of occupational health expertise that Fortune 500 manufacturers have in-house.
Your workers are your greatest asset. My job is to help you protect them—and your business—for the long term.
